Frederic F. Brace was appointed CFO of United Airlines and its parent, UAL. He
replaces Douglas A. Hacker, who became president of United NewVentures, UAL's
Internet initiatives and investments unit. Before joining Arlington Heights,
Ill.-based United in 1988, Brace held finance management positions at
Dallas-based rival American Airlines.
Nasdaq named David P. Warren CFO, formalizing an interim position he has held
since July, when predecessor Gordon Martin left for personal reasons. Warren,
47, joined Nasdaq as chief administrative officer in January 2001. Before that,
he was CFO of the Long Island Power Authority.
InterDent promoted L. Theodore Van Eerden, 45, to CFO from chief development
officer, the post he held for four years. He succeeds Norman Huffaker, 54, who
remains at the El Segundo, Calif.-based dental management services company as
vice president of finance.

William J. Krysiak was promoted to CFO of Western Gas Resources. Krysiak, 41,
had been the Denver-based company?s controller and vice president of finance
since 1993.
Alterna Technologies Group named Colin Cohen CFO. Cohen, 50, had been CFO at
OneSoft, a McLean, Va.-based Internet commerce software company. He reports to
CEO Gonzalo Naranjo, who had been overseeing the finance duties at the Calgary,
Alberta-based treasury and cash management software company.
Comdisco promoted Treasurer Ronald C. Mishler, 41, to CFO, succeeding Michael A.
Fazio, 39, who was named president and chief operating officer, and CEO of
Comdisco?s European operations. As part of his expanded duties Mishler
continues to oversee treasury at the Rosemont, Ill.-based equipment leasing and
technology services company.
Brian V. Turner, 41, was named CFO of Seattle-based RealNetworks. He joins the
Internet streaming media software company from BSQUARE, a smart-device products
and services company in Bellevue, Wash., where he was president and chief
operating officer. Turner replaces Paul Bialek, who quit earlier this year but
has stayed on as a senior. At BSQUARE Leila L. Kirske, 38, was promoted to CFO
from vice president of finance and administration. Kirske had been interim CFO
since January, when Turner was promoted to COO.
Satish Rishi, 42, was named CFO of DuPont Photomasks, a Round Rock, Texas-based
supplier of semiconductor equipment. Rishi replaces Gerd Stoecker, 57, who left
to pursue other interests. For the past two years, Rishi was assistant treasurer
at Dell Computer and before that held the same title at Intel.
