This is my first official issue as the editor of  Treasury & Risk Management, although, admittedly, much of the content, particularly our cover on the magazine’s Sixth Annual Alexander Hamilton Awards For Excellence in Treasury Management essentially assumed its shape many months prior to my arrival. So in many respects this issue will not reflect the  totality of my vision for the publication. Hopefully, no issue will, since the essence of good journalism and of good communications is that it continually evolves to meet the needs of its loyal readers and listeners and of the many new ones we hope to engage.

For the business community, for the United States and for the world as a whole this is an extraordinarily challenging time. My little daughter is turning two years old, and I shudder at moments when I imagine the world she may face as she grows up. I am sure you too share that same anxiety for your families, your fellow workers, your companies and your homelands.
