McAfee Inc., a $936.3 million provider of computer security products that is based in Santa Clara, Calif., hired Eric Brown as its CFO and executive vice president. Brown, 39, joins McAfee from MicroStrategy Inc., a business intelligence software company, where he served as president and CFO. He replaces Steve Richards, who is retiring. Earlier in his career, Brown served as CFO and COO for a division of Electronic Arts Inc. and was a co-founder and CFO of DataSage Inc. McLean, Va.?? 1/2 based MicroStrategy named its vice president of finance, Arthur Locke III, to succeed Brown as CFO and said its CEO, Michael Saylor, will take on the additional role of president.
American International Group Inc., the $81.3 billion insurance company based in New York City, said its treasurer, Steven Bensinger, will take on the additional roles of comptroller and senior vice president. As comptroller, he succeeds Michael Castelli, who was named chief administrative officer and senior vice president. Bensinger, 50, joined AIG in 2002 from Combined Specialty Group Inc., a division of Aon Corp., where he was CFO. Earlier, he held senior positions at Trenwick Group Ltd., Chartwell Reinsurance Co. and Skandia America Reinsurance Corp.
