Marathon Oil Corp., a $58.5 billion oil and natural gas producer based in Houston, named Michael Stewart controller and vice president of accounting. He succeeds vice president of accounting Albert Adkins, who is retiring after 30 years with Marathon Oil. Most recently, Stewart, 48, was Marathon's controller after serving as director of internal audit since 2002. Previously, he held various positions at Marathon Oil, including director of corporate staff for USX Corp., Marathon's former holding company. Before he joined the company in 1985, Stewart worked at KPMG LLP as a tax specialist. He started his career in 1979 as an internal auditor for Exxon Mobil Corp.
General Dynamics Corp., a $21.2 billion defense contractor based in Falls Church, Va., named L. Hugh Redd CFO and senior vice president. He replaces Michael Mancuso, who is retiring. Redd, 48, most recently was controller and vice president of General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., a subsidiary. After he joined the company in 1986 as a senior financial analyst, he served as senior tax administrator, assistant treasurer and staff vice president. Earlier, he worked at Arthur Andersen LLP and served in the tax department.
Hartford Life Inc., a $15 billion financial service and insurance provider based in Simsbury, Conn., named Glenn Lammey CFO and executive vice president. He succeeds Lizabeth Zlatkus, who was promoted to president of the international wealth management and group benefits business unit. Most recently, Lammey, 45, was CFO and senior executive vice president of Citigroup/Travelers Life & Annuity Co., which MetLife Inc. acquired in 2005. Before that, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Citigroup/Travelers, including chief administrative officer and executive vice president.

Dean Foods Co., a $10.5 billion producer of milk and dairy products, named Jack Callahan Jr. CFO and executive vice president. He replaces Barry Fromberg, who left the Dallas-based company to pursue other interests. Most recently, Callahan was senior vice president of corporate strategy and development at PepsiCo Inc. Previously, he held numerous senior management positions, including senior vice president of investor relations of PepsiCo and CFO of Frito Lay International, its subsidiary. Prior to his 10-year tenure at PepsiCo, Callahan worked at General Electric Co. and McKinsey & Co.
Anadarko Petroleum Corp. promoted Bruce Busmire to chief accounting officer and vice president. He replaces Diane Dickey, who is retiring in August. Most recently, Busmire, 48, was CFO, treasurer, controller and vice president of Noble Corp. Earlier, he helped in the startup of Pickering Energy Partners and held positions at various companies, including vice president of investor relations at Ocean Energy Inc. and controller at Altura Energy. Anadarko, with headquarters in The Woodlands, Tex., is a $7.1 billion oil and natural gas exploration and production company.
