Google Inc. named Brent Callinicos as vice president and treasurer of the $6.1 billion Mountain View, Calif. online giant. He comes to Google from Microsoft Corp., where most recently, he held the title of corporate vice president and CFO of Microsoft's platforms and services division. In his 14 years at Microsoft, Callinicos, 41, also served as corporate vice president for worldwide licensing and pricing and, prior to that, as Microsoft's award-winning treasurer. Earlier, he worked for the Walt Disney Co. and Procter & Gamble Co.
U.S. Bancorp named Andrew Cecere CFO and vice chairman of the Minneapolis-based bank, which has $219 billion in assets. He succeeds David M. Moffett, 54, who is retiring. Prior to his appointment, Cecere, 46, was vice chairman of wealth management for U.S. Bancorp and has served in that role since February 2001. Cecere served as CFO of U.S. Bancorp before its merger with Firstar Corp. in 2001. He has been with U.S. Bancorp since 1985. U.S. Bancorp is the sixth-largest financial holding company in the U.S.
Northrop Grumman Corp. named James F. Palmer corporate vice president and CFO of the $30.7 billion defense contractor, which is based in Los Angeles. Palmer, 57, joins Northrop Grumman from Visteon Corp., where he serves as executive vice president and CFO. From 2000 to 2004, he was president of Boeing Capital Corp., and prior to that, he was president of Boeing Shared Services. He takes over from Wesley G. Bush, 45, who was named president and COO. Both appointments are effective as of March 12.

YRC Worldwide Inc. named Phil J. Gaines senior vice president and CFO of YRC National Transportation, the newly formed principal operating segment of the $8.7 billion transportation provider, which is based in Overland Park, Kan. Gaines, 43, had been senior vice president of investor relations, government relations and corporate development for YRC Worldwide. Gaines has been with YRC for 17 years. Todd M. Hacker, 40, replaces Gaines as vice president of treasury and investor relations.
NetJets Inc. named Peter S. Richards CFO of the private aircraft provider, which offers fractional ownership of aircraft to companies and individuals. NetJets, a division of the diversified conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway Inc., is based in Woodbridge, N.J. and had revenues of $3.7 billion last year. Richards joined NetJets in 1998 as controller to assist with the development of NetJets' financial infrastructure following Berkshire Hathaway's acquisition of the company. Prior to that, he served as an audit senior manager with KPMG LLP.
CMS Energy Corp. named David Mengebier chief compliance officer (CCO) for the $6.4 billion utility, which is based in Jackson, Mich. Mengebier will add the duties of CCO to his current responsibilities as senior vice president of governmental and public affairs. Mengebier, 48, succeeds James Brunner as CCO, who will continue as senior vice president and chief counsel. Before joining CMS in 1991, Mengebier worked as legislative counsel for Handgun Control Inc., a gun control lobbying group led by James and Sarah Brady.
Novell Inc. appointed Dana C. Russell CFO of the $1.2 billion infrastructure software company, which is based in Waltham, Mass. Russell had been serving as the interim CFO. Until his appointment as CFO, Russell, 45, previously served as Novell's vice president of finance beginning in 2000, as its controller since August 2003 and as treasurer since October 2005. Before joining Novell in 1994, Russell held financial positions at WordPerfect, Iomega and Price Waterhouse. He replaces Joseph Tibbetts, who left in June 2006.
Iron Mountain Inc. named Brian McKeon CFO of the $2.1 billion Boston-based records management and data-protection company. McKeon, 44, joins the company from The Timberland Co., a $1.6 billion footwear and apparel maker, where he has served as CFO for the past seven years. Prior to Timberland, McKeon spent eight years at PepsiCo Inc. He replaces John F. Kenny Jr., who was appointed executive vice president for corporate development. McKeon is expected to assume his responsibilities in May 2007.
Schlumberger Ltd. named Simon Ayat CFO of the $14.7 billion oil field services company, which is headquartered in New York. Ayat, 52, succeeds Jean-Marc Perraud, 59, who retired. Perraud will remain with the company as a financial adviser to the chairman and CEO under a phased retirement plan. In his 25-year career with Schlumberger, Ayat has held senior positions in finance and operations, both at the field and headquarters levels. Prior to being treasurer, Ayat was vice president of finance and business processes.
Archer Daniels Midland Co. named John Stott vice president and controller of the $37 billion Decatur, Ill.-based agricultural processing company. Stott replaces Steven Mills, who was named senior vice president of strategic planning. Stott joined ADM's European operations as an assistant treasurer in 1992 and has held finance positions of increasing responsibility. In 2001, he was named finance director of European operations, which he held through 2005 when he was appointed U.S. operations controller.
Visteon Corp. named William G. Quigley III CFO of the $17 billion automotive supplier, which is based in Van Buren Township, Mich. Quigley, who currently serves as Visteon's vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, will continue in those roles. Prior to joining Visteon in 2005, Quigley, 45, was vice president and controller for Federal-Mogul Corp. Before that, he was assistant controller at Nissan Research and Development. He replaces James F. Palmer, who was named CFO of Northrop Grumman Corp.
Sequa Corp. named Kenneth J. Binder executive vice president and CFO of the $2.0 billion diversified manufacturer, which is based in New York. Binder, 54, has been serving in the role of acting CFO since January 2006, when he was asked to fill the post which was vacated by Howard Leitner, who retired. Binder has been with Sequa for more than 27 years. From 1995 to 2003, he served as CFO of Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corp., Sequa's largest subsidiary. Binder received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University.
