Time Warner Cable Inc, the $11.9 billion cable giant with headquarters in New York, promoted senior vice president of finance Arthur Minson to executive vice president and the new post of deputy CFO. Minson came to Time Warner Cable in 2006 from AOL where he was senior vice president of corporate finance and development. He joined AOL in 2004 as senior vice president of finance for its broadband, premium and platform services unit. Earlier in his career, he also worked for Rainbow Media Holdings and Ernst & Young.

Farmers Group Inc, a $2.1 billion division of Zurich Financial Services, an insurance-based financial services provider, based in Los Angeles, named Scott Lindquist executive vice president and CFO. Lindquist, 43, replaces Pierre Wauthier, who was named treasurer of Zurich Insurance Group. Most recently, Lindquist served as controller of Genworth Financial Inc. Prior to Genworth, he served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer of Phoenix Cos. in 2002. Lindquist began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Constellation Energy Group, the $19.3 billion Baltimore-based electricity supplier, named Brenda Boultwood senior vice president and chief risk officer. Boultwood succeeds John R. Collins, who is now the company's executive vice president and CFO. Boultwood joined Constellation from JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she served as global head of strategy of alternative investment services. She began at JPMorgan in 2003 after it bought Bank One where she served as head of global risk management for treasury services.

PPG Industries, the $11 billion, Pittsburgh-based supplier of paints, coatings, chemicals, optical products, specialty materials, glass and fiberglass, has named Aziz Giga vice president of strategic planning and treasurer. Giga, 60, replaces CFO and acting treasurer William H. Hernandez. Giga's career with PPG spans 30 years, starting in 1977 as a planning analyst in the Pittsburgh chemicals group. Prior to his current job, he has served at PPG as director of corporate planning, assistant treasurer, controller and director of strategic planning.

CNA Financial Corp, the $10.3 billion commercial insurance writer and property and casualty company with headquarters in Chicago, named John A. Beckman, senior vice president and chief risk officer. Beckman, 39, succeeds Mike Fusco, who continues in his role as executive vice president and chief actuary. Most recently, Beckman served as president of ReAdvisory, a branch of Carvill America Inc., which is a specialty reinsurance broker. He also assumed various leadership roles with CNA Re, including serving as its chief risk officer.

MTV Networks, a New York-based unit of $11.5 billion Viacom Inc., has appointed Jacques Tortoroli executive vice president and CFO. Tortoroli, 49, replaces Colette Chestnut, who has resigned. Joining Viacom in 2005, Tortoroli has served as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer. He had worked as CFO for Infinity Broadcasting and Westwood One, both Viacom subsidiaries, before joining the parent. Before Viacom, Tortoroli worked for KPMG, PepsiCo, Young & Rubicam and Scient, where he served as CFO.
