The New Health Wave?

Onsite clinics and pharmacies get high marks from the few firms that have them.

Onsite clinics and pharmaceutical services are used more often than most other corporate health-related services when available and are the most effective at improving employee health and productivity, according to a survey of 248 large and mid-size companies by Hewitt Associates, a human resources consulting and outsourcing company.

The survey found that while only 19% of companies offered onsite medical clinics and 11% offered onsite pharmacies, 25% of employees used the clinics and 50% used the pharmacies. Satisfaction among companies runs high. A little more than 81% were satisfied with clinic performance; 95% with pharmacy program.
