Financial Executives: Keeping Track

Crown Holdings, a Philadelphia-based packaging products supplier with $8.3 billion revenue in 2008, has promoted Thomas Kelly to senior vice president of finance and named Kevin Clothier to succeed Kelly as corporate controller and vice president. Kelly, 50, joined the company in 1992 from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Clothier, 41, joined the company in 1993 and has served as assistant corporate controller since 2000.

John DeSimone has been named chief financial officer of Herbalife, a $2.3 billion company that markets weight-loss and nutrition products. He replaces Rich Goudis, who was promoted to COO. DeSimone, 43, most recently served as the Los Angeles-based company’s senior vice president of finance and distributor operations. He joined Herbalife in 2007 from Mobile Ventures, where he was CEO. Earlier, DeSimone was CFO of Rexall Sundown.
