Financial Executives: Keeping Track

Clear Channel Communications, a $6.7 billion operator of radio stations based in San Antonio, Texas, hired Tom Casey as CFO and executive vice president. He succeeds Randall Mays, who was named vice chairman. Casey, 47, was CFO and executive vice president of Washington Mutual until October 2008. Prior to joining WaMu in 2002, Casey was CFO and senior vice president at GE Financial.

Kelly Curry was named CFO and executive vice president of Health Management Associates, a $4.5 billion hospital chain. He replaces Robert Farnham, the Naples, Fla.-based company’s CFO and senior vice president since 2001, who will now serve as principal accounting officer and senior vice president of finance. Curry, 55, has been the company’s chief administrative officer and executive vice president since 2008, and was its chief operating officer from 2007 to 2008. He previously served as Health Management Associates’ CFO from 1987 to 1994.
