Stuart Booth will resign as CFO, executive vice president and secretary of Central Garden & Pet, the $1.7 billion Walnut Creek, Calif.-based supplier and marketer of pet and garden products, when the company finds a successor. Booth will serve as a consultant to Central Garden & Pet and plans to work with other, non-competing companies as a consultant.
Daniel Houser, 57, CFO and treasurer of International Speedway Corp., the $787 million Daytona Beach, Fla.-based motor sports entertainment producer, was promoted from vice president to senior vice president. Houser joined ISC in 1993 as division controller for its subsidiary Americrown Service Corp. and held several positions before being named CFO last year. The promotion comes as the company announces several executive changes, including the resignation of CEO James C. France, 64.
Samuel Knoch becomes the first chief risk officer of Michael Baker Corp., the $700 million Moon Township, Pa.-based engineering and energy services supplier. Knoch previously served as CFO and treasurer of Tollgrade Communications. Prior to that, he worked as corporate controller and director of internal audit at Amsco.
Zohar Ziv will serve as interim CFO of Decker Outdoors Corp., the $690 million Goleta, Calif.-based footwear maker, following the resignation of Thomas R. Hillebrandt, who had served as CFO since April 2008. Ziv joined Decker in 2006 as CFO and became COO in 2008. The company has begun a search for a new CFO.
John Harvey, 43, becomes CFO of Coinstar, the $911 million Bellevue, Wash.-based retail vendor. Harvey, 43, replaces Brian V. Turner, who has resigned, but will stay on through June to ensure a smooth transition. Harvey had been CFO of Redbox Automated Retail since May 2008.
