SunGard Treasury Systems Inc. has expanded its line of banking data services offered in partnership with Trintech, a maker of transaction management and payment software. The companies first linked up in May, forming an alliance to provide SunGard Treasury customers access to Trintech's DataFlow network, a daily electronic source of bank balance transaction and statement data.
The new offerings include Trintech's Bank Fee Analysis system, a monthly electronic bank statement analysis program. It compares daily bank statements on all flows into or out of a corporate account with the bank's month-end summary and flags inconsistencies between the two.
"We're seeing three areas where corporations are investing in technology, for cost savings, revenue generation and compliance," says Michael Poisson, senior vice president and managing director at SunGard Treasury. "This is an area where we are promoting a cost savings initiative because people are wasting money and they shouldn't be."
