Reval, a provider of derivative risk management software and services, is releasing a new version of its Web-based offering that allows customers to specify policies for including credit in hedge accounting. The 9.0 version of Reval’s Software-as-a-Service also supports netting at the level of ISDA agreements for mark-to-market and hedge accounting and gives users the ability to choose between using bond yield spreads or credit default swap spreads when calculating credit adjustments.
IBM is introducing new hardware, software and services designed to improve the security of collaborative business technologies like cloud computing, virtualization and Web 2.0. Among the new products is the Proventia Virtualized Network Security Platform, a virtual offering that can help secure both physical and cloud assets and combines such services as intrusion prevention, Web application protection and network policy enforcement in a single product. A malware scanning product will allow users to test Web sites for embedded malware and the Proventia Web application firewall provides protection against major types of Web attacks and vulnerabilities.
