MetLife, the $50.9 billion New York-based insurance company, has named Peter Carlson chief accounting officer. He succeeds Joseph Prochaska Jr., who is retiring this year. Carlson previously served as corporate controller and executive vice president at Wachovia.
Sheila Taylor will become treasurer at YRC Worldwide, an Overland Park, Kansas, transportation services company with revenue of $8.9 billion. Her predecessor, Christina Wise, is leaving the company. Taylor is currently vice president of finance and investor relations at YRC.
Atmos Energy, a $7.2 billion Dallas utility company, promoted Christopher Forsythe to controller and vice president. He succeeds Fred Meisenheimer, who was named CFO and senior vice president in February. Forsythe, 37, previously served as director of financial reporting.

Dean Nolden adds the title of treasurer at Manitowoc Co., a lifting equipment provider based in Manitowoc, Wis., with $4.5 billion in annual revenue. Working at the company since 1998, Nolden, 40, will continue to serve as vice president of finance.
Chet Kwasniak, 50, has been named CFO and executive vice president of outdoor advertising company Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, with revenue of $3.2 billion. He replaces Kurt Tingey, who left the company. Previously, Kwasniak was CFO and vice president of Greenheck Corp., a manufacturer of building ventilation equipment.
Jeffrey Kelly has been appointed CFO and executive vice president of RenaissanceRe Holdings, a Bermuda-based re-insurer and insurer with $1.2 billion in revenue. His predecessor, Fred Donner, is leaving the company to return to the United States. Kelly, 55, was CFO of National City Corp. from 2000 to 2008, when he retired.
Rodney Carter has been named CFO and executive vice president of Christopher & Banks Corp., a Minneapolis-based retailer of women's clothing with revenue of $530 million. Carter was most recently CFO, chief administrative officer and executive vice president at Zales Corp. He succeeds Andrew Moller, who resigned for personal reasons.
Thomas Powell has become CFO and treasurer of TomoTherapy, a Madison, Wis.-based provider of radiation therapy with $204 million of annual revenue. He succeeds Stephen Hathaway, who is retiring. Powell, 48, previously served as CFO of Textura, a Web-based software company, and CFO and treasurer of software developer Midway Games.
