Reval, a New York-based provider of hedge accounting and risk management solutions, has launched a Website, www.savemyswaps.com, to provide a forum for corporate users of non-standard derivatives concerned about the Obama administration's attempts to regulate over-the-counter derivatives.
Oracle, the Redwood Shores, Calif., ERP vendor, says it will equip its enterprise performance management software, which includes Hyperion Financial Management, with UBmatrix's XBRL technology to facilitate the preparation of financial statements in XBRL. The Securities and Exchange Commission requires that the biggest companies begin using XBRL in filings this month. Oracle also says that it will work with UBmatrix on providing storage and management for XBRL-coded information in Oracle Database. Oracle's rival SAP announced in February that it was making UBmatrix XBRL Publishing available as part of SAP BusinessObjects.
For those who use financial filings formatted in XBRL, JustSystems, a Japanese software vendor, has launched xfy XBRL Report, a desktop software that lets users access XBRL data, combine it with other information and publish the results. JustSystems says the audience for the product includes preparers, auditors, regulators, researchers and institutional investors.

Mega, a business software provider in Raynham, Mass., says it is incorporating a powerful mathematical tool that measures risk exposures into Mega GRC Suite, its governance, risk and compliance solution. According to the company, it is the first time a comprehensive GRC product has offered such sophisticated mathematical capabilities, which include risk quantification and analytics based on Bayesian scenario modeling.
Thomson Reuters, the business information company, says it will integrate its governance, risk and compliance software, Paisley Enterprise GRC, with Checkpoint, another Thomson Reuters product that offers tax and accounting research and guidance. The integration will give users of Paisley Enterprise GRC access to regulatory news, online training and how-to guides, the company says.
Mercer, the human resources consulting and outsourcing company, has launched an online tool, called equity choice, for companies that are offering to let employees exchange underwater stock options for restricted stock units or other investments. The decision support tool shows employees data about their holdings, provides calculators and educational information, and allows companies to collect employees' decisions about the exchange offer.
SpreadsheetGear, a Lenexa, Kansas, software company that provides Excel spreadsheet technology for corporations using Microsoft.Net, is now offering SpreadsheetGear 2009. The latest upgrade adds 93 functions, bringing the total number of functions to 331, according to the company.
