Bank of America and Bottomline Technologies say they will work together on payment and invoice automation. Portsmouth, N.H.-based Bottomline will acquire PayMode, a B of A product that enables the electronic exchange of invoices and payments between companies and their vendors. The transaction includes PayMode's vendor network. B of A will retain existing PayMode customer relationships and will go on marketing PayMode. The two companies will work together on future versions of payables automation.
EthicsPoint has enhanced its application that helps companies with hotline and anti-fraud efforts keep track of hotline reports and follow-up investigations, as well as the reporting and data analysis involved. Portland, Ore.-based EthicsPoint's Issue and Event Manager now has a dashboard that users can alter to display the information they need most. The upgrade also provides more ways to analyze data sets, more pre-formatted charts and graphs, improvements in the user interface and performance enhancements.
XBRL US and the FInancial Accounting Standards Board say they have revised XBRL US's GAAP taxonomy in light of the codification of U.S. accounting standards that FASB released in July. Companies using the GAAP taxonomy to tag financial statements can link from the taxonomy reference directly to the correct codification reference on FASB's codification Web site.
