Crown Holdings, a Philadelphia-based packaging products supplier with $8.3 billion revenue in 2008, has promoted Thomas Kelly to senior vice president of finance and named Kevin Clothier to succeed Kelly as corporate controller and vice president. Kelly, 50, joined the company in 1992 from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Clothier, 41, joined the company in 1993 and has served as assistant corporate controller since 2000.

John DeSimone has been named chief financial officer of Herbalife, a $2.3 billion company that markets weight-loss and nutrition products. He replaces Rich Goudis, who was promoted to COO. DeSimone, 43, most recently served as the Los Angeles-based company's senior vice president of finance and distributor operations. He joined Herbalife in 2007 from Mobile Ventures, where he was CEO. Earlier, DeSimone was CFO of Rexall Sundown.

Arkansas Best, a $1.8 billion trucking company, has named Donald Pearson treasurer and vice president. He replaces Judy McReynolds, who was both CFO and treasurer before being named Arkansas Best's president and CEO. Pearson, 51, has served as the Fort Smith, Ark.-based company's director of cash management since 1996.

David Kaminsky has been named CFO and executive vice president of Keane, an IT services company with $1 billion in revenue. He succeeds Ed Timmes, who is leaving Boston-based Keane to return to his financial consulting business in the New York-New Jersey area. Kaminsky has been CFO of Altegrity since 2005. Earlier, he served as CFO for a number of General Electric divisions, including the European hardware and services unit and GE Commercial Distribution Finance.

Tredegar, a Richmond, Va.-based manufacturer of plastic films and aluminum extrusions with $894 million of 2008 revenue, appointed Kevin O'Leary CFO, treasurer and vice president and named Frasier Brickhouse II controller. O'Leary replaces D. Andrew Edwards, who left to become controller and chief accounting officer at Owens & Minor. O'Leary, 51, most recently was the director of finance at Tredegar Film Products. Earlier, he worked at Avery Dennison, where his positions included director of finance and general manager of the printer systems division. Brickhouse, 43, most recently served as Tredegar's director of corporate finance.
