Approva, a Reston, Va.-based software vendor, has launched Approva One, a continuous controls monitoring suite. The company says the solution can help companies lower their audit expenses and cut operational costs, and cites the fact that Approva One involves just one platform that can monitor controls involving the finance, audit and IT units.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch and IdenTrust say they will work together to provide an electronic bank account management (eBam) system for B of A's corporate customers. The bank says IdenTrust's Trust Prime eBam system will let companies open, close or modify accounts online, which it said should cut costs and increase transparency.

U.S. Bank is offering a new cash vault service, Advanced Cash Credit and Notification, that it says can help guard against fraud and cut the costs of dealing with cash. The Minneapolis-based bank says one component of the service, Remote Cash Deposit, uses Brink's CompuSafe to let companies deposit cash securely and receive credit from the bank the next business day, even if the cash hasn't yet been collected by an armored car. The other component, the DTS Tracking System, lets companies track their deposits from the time they're prepared at the store through processing at the bank.
