Fifth Third Bancorp, the Cincinnati-based financial services company with $7.2 billion in 2010 revenue and $115 billion in assets, named Tayfun Tuzun treasurer. He succeeds Mahesh Sankaran, who resigned to become director of finance for M&T Bank in Buffalo. Tuzun, 47, most recently served as Fifth Third's assistant treasurer and balance sheet manager, after joining the bank in 2007 as structured finance manager. Previously, he was director of research and risk management at FSI Group and senior vice president of treasury at Provident Financial Group.
Flowserve Corp., the $4 billion Irving, Texas-based fluid motion and control products and services company, appointed Michael Taff CFO and senior vice president. He succeeds Richard Guiltinan, who is retiring. Taff, 49, joins Flowserve from Babcock & Wilcox, where he was CFO and senior vice president. Earlier, he served as CFO for B&W predecessor company McDermott International and worked in finance at HMT, Philip Services Corp. and British Petroleum Oil.
OM Group, a $1.2 billion Cleveland, Ohio-based producer of metal-based specialty chemicals, named Christopher Hix CFO. He succeeds Kenneth Haber, who is retiring at the end of the year. Hix, 49, has been CFO and senior vice president of Robbins & Myers, a publicly traded supplier of engineered equipment and systems, since 2006. Prior to joining Robbins & Myers, he was vice president of investor relations and corporate development for Roper Industries, and worked in finance at Roper and other companies.
InfoSpace, a $246 million search product company, appointed Eric Emans CFO and treasurer. He was interim CFO at Bellevue, Wash.-based InfoSpace since August, following the resignation of his predecessor, David Binder, in July. Emans, 38, served as the company's controller from 2006 to 2008, when he was named chief accounting officer. Previously, he was director of operations at Corbis Mobile and began his career as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche.
Anadigics, a radio-frequency solutions company with $216.7 million in 2010 revenue, promoted Terrence Gallagher to CFO and senior vice president. He succeeds Thomas Shields, who resigned. Gallagher, 52, has been controller and vice president of finance for the Warren, N.J., company since 2008 and earlier served as assistant controller. Previously, he worked in finance at Foster Wheeler and Firmenich and in public accounting at Price Waterhouse.
CNA, a $117 million non-profit advisory firm for the public sector, named Christopher Winslow CFO, treasurer and senior vice president. He replaces Luther Lau, who left the company. Winslow, 52, most recently was CFO at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Earlier, he was CFO at the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked in finance at MITRE Corp. from 1982 to 1998.
