Deere & Co., the $32 billion farm tractor and combine manufacturer, appointed Rajesh Kalathur CFO and senior vice president. He replaces James Field, who was named president of the agricultural and turf division for the Americas and Australia. Kalathur, 43, has been deputy financial officer for the Moline, Ill., company since April. Since joining Deere in 1996, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for the agriculture and turf division overseas, as well as CEO and managing director of subsidiary John Deere India Private Ltd.

Sealed Air Corp., a $5.6 billion food safety, facility hygiene and product protection company, named Carol Lowe CFO and senior vice president. She succeeds interim CFO Tod Christie, who will resume his role as treasurer of the Elmwood Park, N.J., company. Lowe, 46, most recently was president of Carlisle FoodService Products, and also served as Carlisle's CFO, treasurer and vice president. Prior to joining Carlisle, she worked in accounting and treasury at National Gypsum. Lowe began her career at Ernst & Young.

NV Energy, the $2.9 billion Las Vegas-based energy holding company, appointed Jonathan Halkyard CFO and executive vice president. He replaces Dilek Samil, who was promoted to COO and executive vice president. Halkyard, 47, joins NV Energy from Caesars Entertainment, where he was CFO since 2006. Since he joined Caesars in 1999, he served as treasurer and senior vice president of its Harrah's Entertainment unit and director of finance for Harrah's Lake Tahoe.

Knight Transportation, an $866 million truckload carrier company, named Adam Miller CFO. He succeeds David Jackson, who was appointed president of the Phoenix company last year. Miller, 31, joined the company in 2002 and most recently served as senior vice president of accounting and finance, treasurer and secretary. Earlier, he was controller of Knight Refrigerated and held a number of other accounting and finance positions at Knight.

The Chef's Warehouse, a $400 million national distributor of specialty foods to restaurants, appointed John Austin CFO and assistant secretary. He replaces Kenneth Clark, who resigned. Austin, 50, has served on the board of the Ridgefield, Conn., company since 2011. He is a founder of Hilb Group and served as its CFO since 2009. Previously, Austin was CFO of Performance Food Group and assistant controller for General Medical Corp. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche.

Motricity, a $121 million Bellevue, Wash., mobile Internet services provider, named Nathan Fong CFO. He succeeds interim CFO Stephen Cordial, who will resume in his role as a partner at Tatum following a transition. Fong, 48, most recently was CFO and interim CEO at Internet search-marketing company Atrinsic. Earlier, he served as CFO at Orchard Enterprise, Rodale International and Discovery Networks International and was divisional vice president of finance at Twentieth Century Fox International.
