The former CFO of the Alberta Health Services in Canada will not be receiving a severance package due to questions about $346,208 in expenses he had while he was the finance boss at the Capital Health Region between 2005 and 2008 as well as while finance head of the AHS, according to a story in the Edmonton Journal. Originally expenses were approved until public outrage dictated a change of heart by AHS officials. Not only is an independent forensic audit pending, further investigation over questionable actions by other senior health executives who received top jobs at AHS are being reviewed.
