The House Oversight Committee has asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to provide it with information on its hiring of Booz Allen Hamilton consultants, including its payments to the firm, Reuters reported. Last February, Reuters reported that the SEC had spent millions to hire Booz Hamilton to consult on streamlining the agency.
Reuters says that committee chairman Darrell Issa, D-Calif., said in a letter to SEC Chairman Elisse Walters that he was concerned about how the consultants' work related to that of SEC COO Jeffrey Heslop.
