This week Basware introduced another component into its procurement software suite: Basware Purchase. Basware is a Finland-based vendor of procure-to-pay solutions and the Basware Commerce Network, which provides connectivity tools to streamline collaboration between buyers and suppliers.

Basware Purchase provides a consumer-style shopping experience for employees, facilitating one-click requisitions from approved catalogs. The goal is to increase employees' use of the corporate e-procurement solution and reduce maverick spending. The software includes a contract compliance engine, which ensures that purchases meet established agreements, and it offers analytics into spending, purchasing bottlenecks, compliance issues, and supplier performance.
