Today Bank of America Merrill Lynch released a new tool for treasury teams and commercial-card program managers. Online Account Request is designed to streamline the process of requesting a commercial card, and it reduces the processing time for card applications by up to 50 percent, according to the bank. Commercial-card program managers can directly enter their information into the tool, which saves time over manual processing of applications and reduces the risk of human error. They can also use electronic approval workflows to create robust process controls.
