Employer Health Coverage Hits All-Time High

99% of firms with more than 50 employees provide full-time workers with health care, survey shows.

Employers, for better or for worse, are investing more in health care for their employees, according to a new survey commissioned by the Transamerica Center for Health Studies and conducted by Harris Poll in August.

The survey, which included 1,500 business executives across the country found that the percentage of companies that do not provide any health benefit to employees is at an-all time low — 18 percent. That’s up from 21 percent two years ago, before the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) was implemented.
